HUNKERED DOWN
A moose lies in a field in Sidney. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife warned snowmobilers to drive with caution as moose and deer are traveling the trails from their winter yards due to heavy snow fall. “Deer, moose and other animals are looking for easier travel out of the deep snow to reduce energy expenditure and will be using the packed snowmobile trails, logging roads and other routes to make their treks,” IF&W biologist Lee Kantar said in a prepared statement.

Lost In Space?
This 'flying saucer' house, pictured on the side of Signal Mountain in Chattanooga, Tenn., wiill go up for auction. The buyer needs a fascination for outer space, tolerance for gawkers and at least $100,000. Built by the late Curtis W. King in 1970, the circular house has multiple levels, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an entrance staircase that lowers and retracts with the push of a button.

HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL?
Snow collects inside on the petals of a tulip Wednesday at Alden Longfellow's Greenhouse in Farmingdale. Bill Longfellow, the proprietor, moved several of the plants grown in a greenhouse outside to slow down the flowering. "They grew a little too quickly," Longfellow said. The bulbs will be fine for transplanting later in the season.
