Maine Economy featured in Thomas Business Breakfast Series
WATERVILLE — The next Business Breakfast Series, presented by Thomas College in partnership with the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce, will focus on the Maine economy. The presentation will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 7:30 a.m. in the Student Center Atrium on the Thomas campus.
Tony Payne, a long-time Maine business executive and current executive
director of the Alliance for Maine's Future will address the group. He will present information on the current view of Maine's economic and political climate and provide strategies to move Maine toward the national average.
Previous to working for the Alliance for Maine’s Future, Payne served as New England Region vice president for communications at One Beacon Insurance as well as vice president of underwriting and marketing at Maine Employers' Mutual
Insurance Company. In addition, he has served on the boards of directors of Atlantic Bank, North Yarmouth Academy and Cheverus High School and currently serves on
the Board of Visitors at the University of Southern Maine. He has owned his own business and been a primary candidate for the United States Congress.
The presentation will be held in the College’s Student Center Atrium located at 180 West River Road in Waterville. The public is invited to attend.
