Update for 05-31 & 06-01-08
A look at the latest round of storm reports shows a plethora of wind and hail reports for NY, PA, and as far east as Massachusetts. We lucked out as far as severe weather was concerned. While it did make for a wet start to the weekend, this rain actually helped out a lot. Come Monday the somewhat elevated fire danger will be a thing of the past. Rainfall reports for the state were pretty impressive. As of 9PM Bangor had well over an inch, and many other locations were nearing that mark. Clouds will stick around overnight Saturday and into Sunday. Lows Saturday night will be in the 50's. The low-pressure center will move over us Sunday afternoon and that brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms back into the forecast.
Clouds will slowly break up by Monday afternoon as we catch a break in between systems. Skies will be partly cloudy by Tuesday morning, but they will be building back in by the evening as our next system approaches. Rain is here by Wednesday and as of this evening the heaviest will probably occur off the coast to our south, but things have plenty of time to shift so we will keep you posted.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Lingering rain showers. Low in the low to mid 50's. South wind 5-10mph.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers in the afternoon. High in the mid to upper 60's.
Monday: Clouds become broken. High in the upper 60's to low 70's.
Tuesday: Partly to mostly sunny. Highs around 70°.
Wednesday: Rain, heaviest south. High in the 60's.
