From The TV5 Forecast Center:
As you read above, Kyle has picked up a full head of steam and looks to make landfall in New Brunswick, or far Downeast Maine. As a result look for strong winds and heavy rain to impact our viewing area through Monday morning. I generally agree with everything the NWS is advising for right now, with the exception of the rainfall totals. Throughout the duration of the event, I'm expecting rainfall totals of 2-5'' statewide, with 5''+ readings coming out of Washington county and portions of eastern Hancock county. Here in Bangor, rainfall should total near 4'' by the time the rain stops Monday. Kyle is packing some pretty strong winds. You'll notice the winds pick up as we head through the overnight and into Sunday. The highest winds will likely occur downeast, with some gusts possibly getting up to 65mph. It is highly recommended to keep all small craft in port during sunday, and if possible triple tied. It would also be wise to have flashlights and bottled water handy, as we could possibly lose power due to high winds. If you see a power line down please don't go near it. If possible call us here at the station or call your power provider to report the downed line.
