LOCAL FORECAST


From the TV5 Forecast Center:

**THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR THE ENTIRE STATE OF MAINE: LOW PRESSURE WILL INTENSIFY ALONG THE SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND COAST TODAY...THEN TRACK NORTHEAST ACROSS THE GULF OF MAINE TO THE BAY OF FUNDY BY TUESDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO EARLY TUESDAY. THE SNOW WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES MONDAY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...ALONG WITH STRONG WINDS AND AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW. THE SNOW WILL TAPER TO SNOW SHOWERS TUESDAY **

Today: periods of snow, heavy at times. Snow may mix with sleet and rain this afternoon along the immediate coastline and the outer islands. Highs in the mid-20s to low 30s. East wind 10-20 MPH will become northeast with higher gusts to 30-35 MPH inland and around 40 MPH along the coast.

Tonight: periods of snow, heavy at times. Any mix will change back to snow along the coast. Lows in the 20s. Winds will become northerly 15-25 MPH with higher gusts.

Tuesday: periods of snow tapering to snow showers. Highs between 26°-33°. North wind 10-20 MPH becoming northwest with higher gusts.

Wednesday: mostly cloudy. A few snow showers possible up north. Highs in the mid-20s to low 30s.

Thursday: partly to mostly sunny. Cold with highs in the upper teens to mid-20s.

Friday: increasing clouds. Snow possible at night. Highs in the mid-20s to low 30s.
