Forecast 12-28-07

Post by Outspoken on Fri Dec 28, 2007 6:38 am

From the TV5 Forecast Center:

Any light snow or snow showers early this morning will wind down as the associated area of low pressure fizzles out. A ridge of high pressure will build into New England today bringing sunshine back to our forecast with temperatures running a few degrees above normal. Another storm will head into the Great Lakes to night, then redevelop over southern New England early Saturday before moving to our east Saturday afternoon. The storm will likely bring snow, and mixed precipitation to Maine later Friday night into Saturday morning. Drier air wrapping around the storm will bring the precipitation to an end Saturday morning and allow for some sunshine to break out during the afternoon. High pressure returns Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds and highs near 30°.

Today: lingering light snow and snow showers ending early this morning then becoming partly to mostly sunny. Highs between 29°-39°. Northwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Tonight: increasing clouds. Snow developing after midnight. Lows between 18°-28°. Light and variable wind.

Saturday: mostly cloudy with areas of light snow and mixed precipitation during the morning then becoming partly to mostly cloudy during the afternoon. Highs between 28°-38°. Variable wind 5-10 MPH.

Sunday: mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 20s to mid-30s.

Monday: partly cloudy. Snow possible at night. Highs in the 20s to near 30°.

New Year's Day: periods of snow. Highs in the 20s to near 30°.
