Forecast 10-14-08
A weak warm front moving through the state this morning combined with a cold front approaching from the Great Lakes will provide us with varying amounts of clouds and sunshine today. Despite the cloudiness, conditions are expected to remain dry although we could see a few showers move into northern and western locations late in the day. The approaching cold front will cross the state tonight accompanied by a few light showers. Skies will begin to clear out later tonight as the front slides off to our east.
A ridge of high pressure will build into New England for Wednesday bringing us a good deal of sunshine and temperatures in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Another weak cold front will cross the state on Thursday. This will give us cloudy skies with a few scattered light showers in spots from Thursday afternoon into the overnight hours. We may see a few lingering showers early Friday, otherwise expect drier and cooler weather for Friday as the front moves east of the region. High pressure will bring us dry and cool weather for the upcoming weekend.
Today: partly to mostly cloudy. A few late day showers possible over northern and western parts of the state. Highs between 58°-63°. South wind around 10 MPH with higher gusts this afternoon.
Tonight: mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers. Becoming partly cloudy late. Lows will range from 43°- 48°. Winds will become northwest 5-10 MPH.
Wednesday: mostly sunny with highs between 58°- 66°. Northwest wind 5-10 MPH.
Thursday: mostly cloudy with scattered afternoon showers. Highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Friday: a morning shower possible then a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s.
Saturday: partly cloudy with highs near 50°.
