Post by Outspoken on Fri Oct 03, 2008 5:49 am

A cold front is forecast to cross the state today. After some morning sunshine, clouds will move back in and we'll see a few showers in spots this afternoon. Skies will turn clear to partly cloudy tonight with normal low temperatures ranging from the mid-30s to low 40s. Cooler air will continue to filter into the state tonight into the weekend, keeping temperatures a little bit below normal through early next week.

A weak ridge of high pressure will slide through New England Saturday giving us a good amount of sunshine. Clouds wrapping around a storm centered over eastern Canada will affect northern areas Saturday while areas further south see more in the way of sunshine. Temperatures will top off in the 50s. High pressure will build southward from central Canada and take control of our weather from Sunday through Tuesday of next week. Expect plenty of sunshine each day with temperatures mainly in the 50s.

Today: increasing clouds. Scattered showers possible mainly this afternoon. Some breaks of sun developing late. Highs in the 50s. Southwest wind 10- 15 MPH.

Tonight: clear to partly cloudy. Lows between 36°-43°. West/southwest wind 5-10 MPH.

Saturday: partly to mostly sunny, most clouds north. Breezy. Highs in the 50s. West wind 10-18 MPH.

Sunday: partly to mostly sunny. Highs in the 50s.

Monday: mostly sunny with a few more clouds towards the coast. Highs in the upper 40s to mid-50s.

Tuesday: mostly sunny with highs in the 50s to near 60°.
