Forecast 09-18-08
A cool front moved through this morning and we will definitely feel the effect in today's high and tonight's low temperatures. After our skies clear out later this morning look for highs to top out in the mid to upper 50's north, and low to mid 60's south. Winds will be blustery at some times out of the north at 10-15mph. Tonight will feature crystal clear skies and lows that should not even be talked about for this time of year. As a matter of fact, the National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for all counties in our viewing area, with the exception of the coastal portions of Hancock, Washington, and the mid-coast counties. Those excluded counties are under a frost advisory though. Look for lows to get down around freezing in Bangor tonight, while areas north are below freezing, and the coast stays in the mid to upper 30's. The notoriously could locations, like Houlton, and low lying areas that are blocked from the wind could get down into the upper or even mid 20's! We get off to a cold start on Friday, but high pressure and plenty of sun will help us climb back into the mid 50's and maybe a few 60's. Saturday will continue the warming trend, with highs in the mid 60's to near 70°.
Today: AM clouds and VERY isolated showers. High in the mid 50's to mid 60's. Wind north at 10-15mph.
Tonight: Clear. COLD. Low 27-37°.
Friday: Mostly Sunny. Highs in the 50s to low 60's.
Saturday: Sunny. High in the 60's to near 70°.
Sunday: Variably cloudy. Chance of showers. High in the 60's.
Monday: Sunny. High near 60°.
