Forecast 09-15-08

Post by Outspoken on Mon Sep 15, 2008 4:22 am

The workweek is off to a foggy start, and skies will remain cloudy through the first half of the day. In addition to clouds and fog, the remnants of Hurricane Ike are bringing high winds to much of the northeast. Skies will clear later this afternoon as Ike and its trailing cold front move through. Winds will not calm down until later tonight though. Winds will be sustained from the southwest between 10 and 25mph, with gusts pegged at 40+mph! The good news is Ike will only be bringing us wind and no flooding rains. After all the windy excitement from Ike we will see a much deserved lull in active weather. Sunny skies are expected to extend from the second half of today all the way until Saturday.

Today: Foggy and cloudy to start. Windy. Winds SW 10- 25mph G35+. Clearing this afternoon. High in the 70's.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Low 48-55°.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High in the 60's to near 70°.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Highs on either side of 70°.

Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs in the 60s.

Friday: Mostly Sunny. Highs in the 60s.
