Forecast 09-11-08

Post by Outspoken on Thu Sep 11, 2008 5:44 am

Skies remained clear overnight and winds were calm. Bad news for low temperatures! A few very chilly weather watchers called in this morning with readings in the lower 30's! We will warm up substantially considering our cold start to the day, with highs topping out in the 60's to near 70° in a few lucky locations. Skies will remain clear for the most part across Maine tonight, but a couple of areas will see an increase in clouds. The lows will bottom out in the mid 30's to mid 40's in the places that see the increase in clouds. A warm front moves into the state during Friday. That will work to warm temperatures up but also kick off some showers during the evening. The shower activity will be light and scattered so don't go canceling any outdoors plans just yet. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with showers possible in the morning.

Today: Mostly sunny. Cool. High in the upper 60's to low 70's.

Friday: Clouds increase during the afternoon. Scattered showers overnight. High 64°-72°.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. High on either side of 70°.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. Showers. High in the upper 60's.

Monday: Variably cloudy. High in the upper 60's to lower 70's.
