Forecast 09-09-08
A mostly clear night lead into early clouds today. Look for those clouds to stick around as a system moves in from the southwest. Scattered showers will mostly affect northwestern portions of the state this morning, but by afternoon we should all see at least a shower, with some areas getting considerably more than that. As the cold front passes the state late this afternoon and into this evening some areas could see heavy showers, packing about an inch of rain in extreme cases. With limited instability in the atmosphere I am not expecting any of these storms to become severe. Highs this afternoon will be in the upper 60's to lower 70's under cloudy skies. The weather will improve considerably tonight and into Wednesday. Lows overnight will drop into the upper 40's to lower 50's under clearing skies. Wednesday will start out with sunshine but highs will suffer with a northwest wind bringing cooler temps in from Canada. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday will only be in the 60's to near 70°.
Today: Some morning sun possible then mostly cloudy with showers developing mainly during the afternoon. Afternoon high temperatures will range from 66°-72°. Southwest wind 5-10 MPH becoming south.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. Cooler with highs between 58°-66°.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs in the 60s.
Friday: Partly cloudy. Highs in the 60s. Saturday: Variably cloudy. High near 70°.
