Forecast 08-14-08
Patchy dense fog will reduce visibilities in spots this morning, otherwise we're off to a decent start this morning. Skies will average partly sunny today with high temperatures topping off in the 70s this afternoon. A weak disturbance moving towards the region may touch off a few showers or even a thunderstorm in spots this afternoon especially northern and western parts of the state. Any showers or thunderstorms this evening will quiet down, giving way to partly cloudy skies tonight. Expect comfortable temperatures tonight with lows in the 50s.
After some morning sunshine to start Friday, a weak area of low pressure moving up from the mid-Atlantic will bring us increasing clouds and the chance for some showers and possibly a thunderstorm from late morning on. We'll see a better chance for showers enter our forecast later Friday night into Saturday as an upper low crosses the region. This will bring us numerous showers throughout the day Saturday. With clouds and showers in place Saturday, highs will be a bit on the cool side with readings only getting to around 70°. Showers will move out of the region Saturday night followed by drier and warmer weather for Sunday. High temperatures Sunday will be near 80°.
Today: partly sunny. A few afternoon showers and maybe a thunderstorm possible. The best chance for showers will occur over northern and western locations. High temperatures between 70°-78°. Northeast wind 5-10 MPH.
Tonight: partly cloudy with patchy fog. Nighttime lows between 50°-58°. Light and variable wind.
Friday: morning sunshine giving way to increasing clouds. Scattered showers, a thunderstorm possible especially during the afternoon. Highs will range from 73°-80°. Light winds will become southeast 5-10 MPH.
Saturday: mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Sunday: mix of sun and clouds. Highs near 80°.
Monday: partly cloudy with scattered showers. Highs in the 70s to near 80°.
