MOUNT CHASE - For years, Craig and Terry Hill have taken their vacations for two weeks every April, flying around the country, renting a vehicle and driving to some of America’s most lovely places.
Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming, Washington state, plus Tennessee, North Carolina and Florida — different places, different vehicles and different climates depending on their budget and desires, but in all cases, the Hills make a point of visiting designated scenic byways.
"It’s the road less-traveled, sort of," Terry Hill, 45, said Monday. "Rather than taking I-95 or some other big highway, we like to go places where we can see things."
