LAGRANGE, Maine — More than 150 family members and friends gathered Wednesday to remember Kristen Smart Hart who died last week after allegedly being shot by her husband.
Although family and friends didn’t want to talk to the press, pictures of Hart, 25, were laid out on the stage of the Masonic Hall in which she was depicted as a loving mother, sister and friend. The hall was packed even before the memorial officially began at 4 p.m., and people continued to stream in the front doors with cars filling the parking lot and lining both sides of Route 16.
"No one here wants to talk to the press today," Hart’s sister, Regina Striplin of Oklahoma, said.
