This video was also done by Kerri Davis to show the beauty that was once "Downtown Waterville, Maine". I don't remember the Elmwood Hotel as it was torn down two years after I was born.
"The Elmwood Hotel, now non-existent, used to be the height of Waterville, Maine back in the day. It has since then be replaced by a Rite-Aid, and so this video is to show the world, especially Mainers, what they missed out on."

Re: The Elmwood Hotel, Waterville, Maine. (1850-1960)
The really sad part is that there is now a Rite-Aid there that will also be gone soon. I'm beginning to think that Waterville is beginning to lose sight of their heritage. It must have been a beatiful place in it's day. So many old buildings are not getting on the registry fast enough to avoid them being torn down or completely remodeled.
The architecture alone must be worth something to someone.
