Moody Memorial Chapel at Goodwill-Hinkley school...
This is one of the most beautiful chapels in the State of Maine. It is a non-denominational church that offers it's use to anyone for all types of services. I am singing at a wedding there this weekend and wanted to share the beauty of this chapel with others. Should anyone ever be looking for a place that has some beauty and heritage that will hold about 250 people very comfortably, this is the place. The stained glass windows are magnificent. The old paintings are fabulous. The pipe organ is a grand piece of old artwork. It's valued at around one million dollars because of it's immaculate condition and it's age. It is one of the oldest in the State and still sounds fantastic. It's an old pull-stop style that has been taken care of like a baby. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. If you want to take a trip for the pure pleasure of it, this is one site worth seeing. There is also the Bates Museum on the Goodwill-Hinkley campus, which holds some very unusual oddities.
(Please pay no attention to the occasional person in the photos. This was, after all, a wedding rehearsal.

Re: Moody Memorial Chapel at Goodwill-Hinkley school...
Thank you. I intend to be there before anyone else arrives tommorow and will get some of the full scope of the chapel without having to include others in the photos. Some of the outside, as well. It really is a most impressive building.
I also would like to get some pics of the organ itself. I think people who know pipe organs would appreciate the beauty of it.

Some added extras...
I managed to get some good photos of the artwork in the Chapel as well as some great shots of the outside. This magnificent stone building has sat where it is for well over one hundred years. Aficionados of fine old pipe organs will appreciate the last few pictures showing the keyboard and pull stop setups.
