WATERVILLE: Farmers' Market open Thursdays
From the Morning Sentinel

WATERVILLE -- The Downtown Waterville Farmers' Market opened Thursday and will continue every Thursday through October, said Shannon Haines, executive director of the Waterville Main Street Program.

The market, open from 2 to 6 p.m., is held in The Concourse parking lot and features nearly 30 vendors selling locally produced food and goods such as milk, eggs, cheese, vegetables, seedlings, bread, baked goods, beef, pork, chicken, turkey and bison.

New this year are 100 percent organic cotton Downtown Waterville Farmers' Market tote bags to be distributed to any customer spending $20 with one of the market vendors.

The presenting sponsor of the Downtown Waterville Farmers' Market is MaineGeneral Health. Those wanting more information may visit www.watervillefarmersmarket.org.
