MADISON -- Police on Friday said they have confirmed that only one vehicle was involved when a man lying in the travel lane of Park Street was struck early Thursday morning.
Anthony Dussex, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene just after 1 a.m. Thursday, according to Madison Police Chief Barry Moores.
Moores on Friday said he and his officers had been in conversations with the state medical examiner's office and could conclude that a second vehicle was never involved.
"We are now continuing to backtrack where (Dussex) was 24 hours prior and we will be waiting for other test results," Moores said.
Moores did not have information on whether Dussex was still alive when he was struck by the car.
